Theosophy Hall Home of United Lodge of Theosophists

Theosophy Hall is located just south of Downtown Los Angeles at the intersection of Grand Avenue and 33rd Street, one block North of Jefferson Boulevard and two short blocks East of the Harbor Freeway (110).

 

DRIVING:
From the Harbor Freeway (110) North,
take the Exposition Blvd exit, turn Right (East) then turn Left (North) on Grand Avenue. Go two blocks, cross Jefferson Blvd., go another short block and the Lodge is on your Right.

From the Harbor Freeway (110) South, exit at Adams Blvd., continue straight onto Figueroa Street, turn Left (East) on Adams Blvd, go three blocks, and turn Right (South) on Grand Avenue. Go to 33rd Street; the Lodge is on your Left.

From the Santa Monica Freeway (10) East, either (1) take the Interchange to the Harbor Freeway (110) South, and follow those directions. OR (2) continue on the Santa Monica Freeway, past the Harbor Interchange, and exit at Grand Avenue. Turn Right (South) on Grand Avenue, cross Washington Blvd and Adams Blvd (about one mile total) to 33rd Street. The Lodge is on your Left.

From the Santa Monica Freeway (10) West, either (1) take the Interchange to the Harbor Freeway (110) South, and follow those directions. OR (2) exit Main Street (the last exit before the Harbor Freeway) and continue straight on 16th Street. Turn Left (South) on Hill Street, go under the (Santa Monica) Freeway, cross Washington Blvd. and Adams Blvd. (about one mile total). Turn Right (West) on 33rd Street; the Lodge is on your Right just before Grand Avenue.

BUSES and METRORAIL:
Public transportation is provided throughout the area by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). Buses run on all major streets and avenues; the Green Line Metrorail runs on Washington Blvd. a mile North of the Lodge. Contact the MTA for travel times and fares www.mta.net

OUR NEIGHBORS: include Exposition Park with the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History (a mile Southwest), The University of Southern California (USC) (half a mile West), The Shrine Auditorium (half a mile West), Federal Express (across the street), and Los Angeles Trade Technical College (a mile North). Built in 1927, the building serves a center for meetings and study groups, Theosophy School classes for children and adults, writing and editing of Theosophy magazine, and the publication and shipment of books.

VISITORS: Inquirers are invited to attend any or all of our meetings. Visitors at other times are also welcome, but should check ahead of time to ensure that the building will be open and someone will be there. Those wishing to do extended research in the Reference Library [link “Libraries”] should make arrangements in advance.

SECURITY: A uniformed guard is provided for on-street parking before, during and after meetings.
